SUNDAY PROJECT

Help Cesar Chavez Middle School get ready for the new school year by assisting with sorting and organizing PE uniforms for incoming students. Volunteers will work together to organize inventory, sort sizes, and prepare uniforms so students can start the year equipped and ready to go.

This is a simple but impactful project that helps support both staff and students behind the scenes before the school year begins. It’s a great fit for volunteers who enjoy organized, hands-on tasks and want to make a practical difference for the school community

Volunteers will help prepare hygiene kits that will be distributed through CityTeam to individuals and families experiencing hardship. Tasks include sorting supplies, organizing materials, and assembling kits so they are ready to meet real needs in the community. This project is simple but high-impact. Every kit packed represents care and dignity for someone who may be struggling. It’s a great opportunity for youth and adults to serve together, and no special skills are required — just a willingness to lend a hand and make a difference.

SATURDAY PROJECT
Ages 8+ can be apart of serving with Kids Against Hunger as we help pack nutritious meals for children and families facing food insecurity around the world. Volunteers will work together in a fast-paced assembly line environment, helping measure ingredients, seal meal packages, box supplies, and prepare meals for distribution.

This project is a great fit for individuals, families, and groups who enjoy hands-on teamwork and want to make a tangible impact in just a few hours. Every meal packed helps provide hope and practical support to communities in need both locally and globally.

Volunteers will help beautify from the base of the 3C Hill up Foothill Blvd by picking up litter, clearing trash from sidewalks and public spaces, and helping care for the area surrounding our church community.

This project is family-friendly and kids are welcome to serve with an adult. Because the cleanup will take place along open streets, volunteers should be prepared to stay on sidewalks, follow project lead instructions, and remain aware of cars and traffic throughout the project

Join us at James Madison Middle School for a Cleaning & Beautification project!

Volunteers will help refresh the campus garden by weeding, planting, painting garden markers, and sprucing up the space.

This is a hands-on opportunity to make a visible difference for students and staff—come ready to get a little dirty and have fun

Join us at Lake Merritt for a large-scale shoreline and park clean-up focused on helping restore one of Oakland’s most loved community spaces. Volunteers will help collect litter, separate recyclables, and dispose of waste throughout the surrounding paths and park areas.

This is a hands-on outdoor project that includes walking, bending, and carrying bags, making it a great fit for youth and adults who enjoy active service projects. By the end of the morning, the impact will be visible through cleaner trails, safer public spaces, and a healthier environment for the community and local wildlife.

Serving at Lake Merritt is about more than picking up trash — it’s about caring for Oakland and helping create a cleaner, more welcoming space for the thousands of people who gather here each week.

Come be part of something meaningful at Shepherd’s Gate! Youth ages 8+ are welcome, with ages 8–13 accompanied by an adult.

Volunteers will help with a variety of hands-on projects including rose pruning, landscaping, painting, assembly, vehicle washing, and general clean-up. There’s something for everyone, whether you enjoy organizing, working outdoors, or tackling practical projects alongside a team.

This is a great opportunity to serve together and help create a welcoming, beautiful environment for the women and children at Shepherd’s Gate. Grab your friends, family, or small group and come ready to make a visible impact

Join us as we serve our Hayward neighbors through a beautification and cleanup project at Southgate Park and the surrounding Greenway areas. Volunteers will help care for several shared community spaces through cleaning, clearing, and general beautification efforts.

Serve local seniors alongside your family throughout the East Bay through encouragement, conversation, and connection. Volunteers will meet at 3Crosses before heading out to visit a nearby senior care facility, where they’ll spend time engaging with residents who may not often receive visitors.
