Be a VIP (Volunteer In the Parks) with the Hayward Area Recreational & Park District (H.A.R.D)! For this project we will work on improving Mia's Dream Come True Playground (link), a truly special all-abilities facility in South Hayward. H.A.R.D. will provide tools, leadership, snacks and satisfaction of knowing you are a V.I.P.! P
Potential activities include: installing fiber bars around outside fencing; spreading tanbark chips around play structures; trash pick up; pruning and raking leaves.
We ask volunteers wear sturdy shoes, wear a sun hat or sunscreen, and bring bottled water. If you have gardening gloves and tools, please bring them since we will have a big group!
***kids under 12 should be accompanied by parent/guardian. All participants need to bring a signed waiver to the event (to be provided closer to the event).
