SATURDAY: Hayward Area Recreation and Parks District

We will have several projects happening in the park at the same time, so there’s something for everyone to jump into. Volunteers will help with a park clean-up that includes trash pickup, pruning, bush trimming, and moving mulch to keep the space looking great. We’ll also be preparing for our upcoming Agriculture Day, a community event that teaches families—especially 3rd graders—about how food goes from farm to table. Volunteers will assist with planting in the new Alameda County Agriculture History Center, putting together giveaway bags for families, and possibly handing out flyers in the neighborhood to spread the word. This is a fun and hands-on way to serve outdoors while supporting both the community and local education.
